What a beautiful mind! Do you remember my thoughtless “10″ remark when you were a teenager (of course you remember-the whole family remembers!)? Let me rephrase it so that it accurately reflects what I really meant. Katie, some people are a 10 because of the way they look. You are a 10 as well, but when you add personality, talent, character, mindfulness, courage, creativity, inventiveness, compassion, sheer intelligence, ability, wittiness, humor, etc. you are infinite.
BTW. I recognize your struggles, know some of your weaknesses, know you are not perfect. My rephrased comment still stands. I love you so much!
I keep re-reading this post and find that my words don’t really express what I am trying to say. On the one hand, the praise may make you uncomfortable(like on Mother’s Day when the talks praise motherhood and I squirm in my seat because I think I don’t measure up). So, on the other hand, I put in the thoughts about you not being perfect but will that negate in your mind the real, true, deep down admiration that I have for you? Is this my OCD? I’m going to send it and hope you know my heart.
How could I forget the “10″ remark? It still makes me laugh.
